The Etilaatroz newspaper has made a documentary titled “Fahim Dashty” about the life and professional accomplishments of Fahim Dashty, the famous journalist from Afghanistan who was assassinated by the Taliban in September 2021. Through this documentary, the audience is introduced to various aspects of Dashty’s personal and professional life.
In this documentary, Sayara Dashty, the wife of Mr. Dashty talks about her husband’s life. The perspectives of Dashty’s close friends and colleagues such as Siddiqullah Tawhidi, Kawa Jubran, and others about Dashty are also included.
This documentary depicts the events that followed the fall of Afghanistan on August 15, 2021. During those days of sorrow and mourning, Dashty joined the National Resistance Front in Panjsher so to not abandon his friend, Ahmad Massoud, as Mrs. Dashty emphasized. This documentary portrays the story of a man who gave his life to the fight for freedom. As Dashty has left this world, he has made good use of the opportunities he was given by God and has left us a valuable example of sacrifice, selflessness, and love.
